The Annual function was organized by Abhyuday School on the 15 and 17 of January 2016. Finally, the long awaited day arrived. It was the most scintillating evening for the students of Abhyuday. The first day i.e. on the 15th of January we were delighted to honor Mr.Ashok Sahu M.L.A Kawardha as the Chief Guest of the first day of the program. This was entirely a presentation by the tiny todd’s.
The theme of the program was Bharat Darpan which reflected a glimpse of cultural India. The kids displayed marvelous fervor. They put up quite a commendable performance. Many different folks dance like Marathi, Gujrati, Assamese and Punjabi were performed out of which Punjabi dance being the most exuberant was fancied by all.
The next phase of the program was celebrated on 17th of January. Honourable Minister Mr. Rajesh Munnat (Minister of PWD, Housing, Environment & Transport Govt. of Chhattisgarh) was the chief guest of the program, among the other dignitaries were Mr. Motiram Chandravanshi (Parliamentary Secretary Govt. of Chhattisgarh), Mr.Ashok Sahu, M.L.A Kawardha, Mr.Arun Bisen, Mr.Pramod Agrawal (Director), Mr. Dhananjay Dewangan (Dist. Collector), Mr. Rahul Bhagat (Superintendent of Police) and not forgetting the host our own Chairman Mr. Abhishek Singh (M.P Rajnandgaon) who witnessed the program. The theme of the program was Surabhi Sangam which conceptualised fusion dance. The children indeed had put up an amazing performance like Shiv- Krishna dance, Devi Stuti, Indian fusion, and many other cultural activities. Among the central attraction were the English song and English drama presented by the children of the English Club ‘Illuminati’. On this auspicious occasion the chief guest also unveiled the Yearly News Letter that comprised of all the cultural, sports and academic activities that are conducted throughout the year. The best house trophy was bagged by Vivekananda House. Other laurels like Best Sports person Boy and Best Sports person Girl were bagged by Vikram Diwakar and Shailey Mallik respectively.
The Chief Guest Mr. Rajesh Munnat appreciated the efforts taken, and said that in a school along with academic excellence the child should also be given a chance to take part in various other activities like sports and cultural activities etc. The annual function provided the students a great platform for exposure of their innate endowments and was a part of the school curriculum. Our honourable chairman Mr. Abhishek Singh was glad to say that the motive with which the school was conceived is being accomplished. All, the school aimed at was not to drill in but to drill out the innate endowments that lay subtle within the child, as it is very well said by Swami Vivekananda “Like fire in a piece of flint, knowledge lies in the midst of mind all you need is to strike it out”.
