The Investiture Ceremony of Abhyuday School for the academic session 2016-2017 was held at the school Assembly Hall on 10th August, 2016. The event was presided by the Principal, Mr. Subhash Chandra Verma. It was conducted with great enthusiasm amongst the teachers as well as the students.

As the motto says, “Arise, Awake, Achieve”, the Investiture Ceremony marks the rise and awakening of newly elected students into the Student Council. It is here were the Student Council is induced with new leaders and trust, faith, confidence and responsibilities are entrusted on them. The celebration of this day makes every student who is elected as leader feel proud and be a responsible leaders for tomorrow.

The ceremony was held with lot of enthusiasm and excitement. The elected leaders were conferred with respective badges by the Principal and the House Leaders. The ceremony began with election of the Head Boy, Mas. Harshwardhan Verma and the Head Girl, Ku. Akhya Pargania. Followed by all the house captains and prefects of four different houses – Mas. Devraj Singh, Ku. Ayushi Singh of Kabir House, Mas Ujjwal Singh Thakur, Ku. Dolly Thadani of C V Raman House, Mas. Utkarsh Singh, Ku. Rashmi Suman Dubey of Tagore House and Mas. Vinayak Gupta, Ku. Simarpreet Kaur of Vivekananda House, were conferred with their individual badges and responsibilities. Along with them, new members were introduced into Eco Club – Ku. Mihika Jain (Class 1-5) and Ku. Nivedita Shukla (Class 6-11) and English Club – Ku. Niyati Singhania Class (1 – 5) and Ku. Rakshita Purohit (Class 6-11). Mas. Md. Kamran Ahil was assigned as the new Sports Secretary.

Our newly elected Student Council then took an oath in front of the whole school to be true to their posts, responsibilities and duties assigned to them. The Head Boy and Head Girl shared their thoughts on taking this esteemed responsibility.

Finally, the school management, all the staff and the students congratulated and encouraged the newly appointed Students Council, thus bringing an end to this memorable day and a new beginning to the Student Council.
